a little piece of copper

June 1st, 2010 by

It’s been a while since I’ve been in the machine shop. (I’m supposed to be spending my time with my hands on a keyboard now, rather than dials and knobs) So, it’s always nice when there’s an emergency part that needs making. Here’s the latest such piece: it’s a OFHC copper bobbin we’ll use for mounting a thermometer on the mixing chamber of the dilution unit. The thermometer goes in the hole, and the little u-shape at the other end is where the screw that holds it on will go. I hope it works.

Edit: The thermometer is installed on the fridge.
